Ammonium phosphate dry powder fire extinguishing agent

1. Ammonium phosphate dry powder fire extinguishing agent is abbreviated as ABC dry powder fire extinguishing agent, in which ammonium dihydrogen phosphate (NH4H2PO4) plays the main fire extinguishing role, and other auxiliary materials play the functions of anti caking and additives.

Ammonium phosphate dry powder fire extinguishing agents are mainly divided into three categories:

1) dry powder based on ammonium phosphate or ammonium pyrophosphate;

2) Mixed dry powder with ammonium phosphate or ammonium sulfate as base material;

3) Dry powder with ammonium polyphosphate as base material.

Ammonium phosphate dry powder fire extinguishing agent is more widely used than BC dry powder fire extinguishing agent. In addition to the fire extinguishing function of BC fire extinguishing agent, it can also extinguish class a solid fire; It can not only put out plane fire, but also three-dimensional space fire. In addition, ammonium phosphate dry powder fire extinguishing agent has been widely used because of its high fire extinguishing efficiency, fast speed, wide source of raw materials, no toxicity to the environment, human and livestock, no need for special power and wide use temperature. Due to the multi-functional use of ammonium phosphate fire extinguishing agent, it is more convenient to replace a variety of highly specialized fire extinguishing agents with a single fire extinguishing agent.

2. fire extinguishing principle

Suffocation, cooling, radiation and chemical inhibition of flaming combustion are the concentrated embodiment of the fire extinguishing efficiency of ammonium phosphate dry powder. Among them, chemical inhibition is the basic principle of fire extinguishing and plays the main role of fire extinguishing.

Monoammonium phosphate endothermically decomposes ammonia and phosphoric acid in the combustion flame, and then p205 is generated. Each reaction is endothermic, so it has a good cooling effect; The free ammonia generated by decomposition can react with the OH radical generated in the flame combustion reaction, reduce and terminate the free radical generated by the combustion reaction, and reduce the combustion reaction rate when the free ammonia concentration in the flame is high enough, the contact area with the flame is large enough, and the free radical termination rate is greater than the rate generated by the combustion reaction, the chain combustion reaction is terminated, resulting in the extinction of the flame.

In addition, ammonium dihydrogen phosphate decomposes at high temperature to form a layer of glass film on the surface of solid material, and the residual covering covers the surface of combustor. After cooling, a brittle covering is formed to isolate the combustion surface from air. When the covering reaches a certain thickness, it can prevent re combustion and combustion.

Composition and formula design of ammonium phosphate dry powder fire extinguishing agent
Ammonium phosphate dry powder fire extinguishing agent is mainly composed of active fire extinguishing components, hydrophobic components, inert fillers and other components. Hydrophobic components mainly include silicone oil and hydrophobic silica;

There are many kinds of inert fillers, which mainly prevent vibration and block, improve the movement performance, electrical properties, catalyze linear silicone oil polymerization, and improve the compatibility with foam extinguishing agents.
