Monoammonium Phosphate, a chemical agent, is a white crystal with molecular formula of NH4H2PO4. It will decompose into ammonium metaphosphate (NH4PO3) when heated. It can be made by the reaction of ammonia and phosphoric acid. White crystalline powder. Stable in air. 1g soluble in 2.5ml water. Slightly soluble in ethanol, insoluble in acetone. The aqueous solution is acidic. Solubility in water at room temperature ( 20℃) is 37.4g. Relative density 1.80. Melting point 190℃. Refractive index 1.525.
