Ammonium dihydrogen phosphate, also known as Monoammonium Phosphate, is a white crystal, soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol and insoluble in acetone. Stable in air. 1G dissolved in 2.5ml water. The aqueous solution is acidic. Solubility in water at room temperature ( 20℃) is 37.4g. Relative density 1.80. Melting point 190℃. Refractive index 1.525. chemical formula NH4H2PO4, decomposes into ammonium metaphosphate (NH4PO3) when heated.

Monoammonium Phosphate can be used as flame retardant for wood, paper and fabric, dispersant for fiber processing and dye industry, compounding agent for fire retardant coatings, dry powder fire extinguishing agent, etc.

It is also used as bulking agent, dough regulator, yeast nutrient, brewing and fermentation assistant and nutritional enhancer in food industry.
