Properties
 
Monoammonium Phosphate is a white crystal with the molecular formula NH4H2PO4, soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol and insoluble in acetone. Stable in air. 1G dissolved in 2.5ml water. The aqueous solution is acidic. 
 

 
Applications:

1.  Monoammonium Phosphate is a high-efficiency nitrogen and phosphorus compound fertilizer.Monoammonium Phosphate can be used as flame retardant for wood, paper and fabric, dispersant for fiber processing and dye industry, glaze medicine for enamel, compounding agent for fire retardant coating, extinguishing agent for match stem and candle wick, and dry powder fire extinguishing agent. Monoammonium Phosphate is also used in printing plate making and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
2.  In the treatment of circulating water and boiler water, Monoammonium Phosphate can be used as anode corrosion inhibitor. Like chromate, Monoammonium Phosphate can form a very hard protective film on the metal surface. In the biochemical treatment of water, Monoammonium Phosphate can be used as biological culture agent.
3.  Analytical reagent for precipitation of magnesium, zinc, nickel, uranium, etc.
4. Buffer and culture medium preparation. Fireproof agent for paper, wood and fiberboard. Fertilizer. Bread improver. Food additives.
5. Monoammonium Phosphate is used as bulking agent, dough regulator, yeast feed, brewing and fermentation assistant and buffer in food industry. Monoammonium Phosphate is also used as an animal feed additive.
